Our history - combining tradition and innovation

From FELA to EVYTRA

EVYTRA began its journey in 1969 as FELA, a leading PCB manufacturer in the Black Forest. Since then, we have continuously evolved and are now a modern provider of Human Machine Interfaces and Printed Circuit Board Solutions. This transformation is characterized by adaptability and innovation. Just as our mascot - the chameleon "EVY" - stands for flexibility and the ability to change, we adapt to the needs of the market and always offer forward-looking solutions.

2023

FELA GmbH is renamed EVYTRA GmbH under the management of
Pierre Lohrber, Benedikt Weltersbach & Stephan Menzel

2022

Mr. Pierre Lohrber takes over the management of FELA GmbH

2020

FELA launches the FELA SWITCH, its first own product, on the

market

2018

Anniversary of 20 years of cooperation with our Asian manufacturing partners for printed circuit boards in Tianjin.

2016

Start of research into additive manufacturing processes for printed circuit boards / research cooperation with Würth Elektronik

2012

Acquisition of the neighboring building of the insolvent company OSCO and expansion of production and administration by 2131 m².

2011

Establishment of the FELA ACADEMY, internal further training program for employees and managers.

2010

Funding project with the Furtwangen University of Applied Sciences: Disinfection of glass surfaces using UV irradiation.

Funding project with the Furtwangen University of Applied Sciences: Special grinding of glass contours.

2008

FDA approval for glass input system in the USA

2002

For the first time, electronics can be mounted directly on glass as a carrier material, ready for series production.

First project of an operating unit with capacitive keys directly on glass realized

Patent application: technology to apply a conductive pattern of copper directly on glass and to fit it in the standard SMD process

Innovation prize for this technology

2001

Establishment of the Solingen branch for commercial business with Asia (today FELA PCB-Service)

1998

Management buy-out of the former managers to form FELA Leiterplattentechnik

Start of commercial relations with Asia

1996

Takeover of the company FELA Hilzinger GmbH by the Swiss Photochemie Group, Unterägeri

1992

First certification according to DIN ISO 9001

1991

Change of name to FELA Hilzinger GmbH

1990

Long-standing managing director and shareholder Norbert Krütt joins the company

1988

Takeover of Hilzinger GmbH by the Swiss FELA Group

1969

Hilzinger Hoffmann Chemotechnik, Schwenningen, is founded.
